on the navigation bar towards the left, click on troubleshoot. in the settings menu, click on update & security. Click on the start button, and go to settings. step 2: run the sfc scannow command by typing and entering it in the command prompt. select either command prompt (admin) or powershell (admin) on the list provided, whichever is available. step 1: open the command prompt by hitting windows key and x on your keyboard. To fix this, you need to perform sfc and dism check.
navigate to the c: windows softwaredistribution folder, and rename this to softwaredistribution.old. next, under get up and running, select windows update > run the troubleshooter. Select start > settings > update & security > troubleshoot.
